Eating At The Best Italian Restaurants For Labor Day In Miami

When we think about good comfort food, we think about lasagne, rigatoni, spaghetti, farfalle, penne, macaroni, fettuccini, orecchiette, and many other pasta shapes essential for hearty and tasty pasta dishes. And don’t get us started on the pizza, focaccia, and other flavorful bread.

We can argue that Italian food is one of the best in the world, and we can bet that you have already started thinking about your next meal and imagining a delicious pasta meal. And you are lucky because, in the U.S., numerous excellent restaurants serve this popular international food, and some of the best Italian restaurants are in Miami.

So, suppose you are really craving some mouthwatering lasagna or some other type of Mediterranean dish. In that case, you can try it during Labor Day in Miami in one of the restaurants we are about to recommend to you. Take out a pen and a piece of paper to write down where is the best pasta in Miami.

Mi’talia

One of the most charming places that managed to blend traditional Italian cuisine from North and South into modern American is Mi’talia. This is one of the best Italian restaurants in Miami and is located in the south part of the city. The place is run by a pair of outstanding chefs, Janine Booth and Jeff McInnis, who both learn everything they know about this specific cuisine on their travels throughout Italy. If you visit this place, you must try Mama’s Meatballs and Spicy Rigatoni Vodka. But you also won’t go wrong if you order any of their pizzas, they are all made in a stone oven, and the sunflower one is a true gem. We highly recommend this restaurant if you plan to spend your Labor Day in Miami. And yes, all the food is made from scratch at the restaurant and uses only fresh and seasonal ingredients.

Fiola

Located in Coral Gables, Fiola is one of the best-known restaurants offering Italian-style food, and there you can try some of the best pasta in Miami. The food is delightful thanks to the chef Danny Ganem, and the overall atmosphere is worth your time. Besides food, they offer outstanding wines that you can easily pair with the dishes you decide to try. It’s one of the pricier places in the city, but once a year, for Miami Labor Day, you can spend a bit more.

Casa Tua

Casa Tua is one of the most exciting spots in South Beach that exudes the specific charm of old Italian times. If you are in the mood for a fancy restaurant, you want to celebrate a special occasion, or you are looking for a place to spend your Labor Day in Miami, this can be it. The only problem that might occur is the high price point of the meals, just like with the previously mentioned restaurant. However, the food is excellent, and we must say it’s worth every penny. So, if you want to try some of the best pasta in Miami, be sure to book your reservation a few days before to enjoy the specific Mediterranean atmosphere.

Sapore di Mare Italian Seafood

When you think about the best Italian restaurants in Miami, we bet mostly simple pasta dishes come to mind. However, Italians are known for their seafood dishes too, and the best place to try some of the tastiest is at Sapore di Mare. At first, the place looks like a simple restaurant, but once you step your foot inside, you get hit with a pleasant and family-like atmosphere. Everything looks exactly like you’ve imagined in an Italian restaurant, and it’s almost the same as you’ve seen in the movies. And one of the main attractions of this joint is the enormous parmesan wheel in which they prepare your food; the smell of parmesan cheese is compelling, and the taste is very satisfying once the dish is done. And of course, the show is super interesting to watch.

Macchialina

If you are not interested in fancy places and would love to relax with your friends alongside some delicious food, you must visit Macchialina. It’s a restaurant for all that love laid-back places and, of course, good food. Like other spots from this list, it’s located in South Beach and is loved by tourists and locals. Their pasta is the best in Miami, making it from scratch and always fresh. We can recommend trying their Cavatelli Macchialina; you won’t regret it.

Scarpetta

Everybody knows about Scarpetta, but we had to include it in our list because it’s legendary. And it could be a perfect spot to visit during Labor Day in Miami. And yes, if you have never visited this place, you must try their signature dish. It’s the best pasta in Miami, and it’s simple yet tasty – spaghetti with tomato sauce and a hint of basil. You may think that spaghetti in red sauce is nothing special, but their chef Scott Conant is a wizard in the kitchen, and he can create magic even with the simplest ingredients. And if you want to try something unique, try their Seared Scallops or Duck and Foie Gras Ravioli.

Cecconi’s

Cecconi’s is located on the ground- floor of the Soho Beach House, which is, by the way, a members-only club. However, you don’t have to be a member to eat at Cecconi’s, which is fortunate as it’s one of the best Italian restaurants in Miami. The food is incredible, but the interior and the atmosphere will leave you without breath. Their pizzas are oven baked, and we can recommend the one with truffle, goat cheese, and zucchini blossom. Or, if you are in the mood for some good seafood, order their spaghetti with lobster. They have plant-based options, so if you or your friends don’t eat animal products, here, you’ll have more to eat than a simple salad. You should try their pizza with plant base sausage or their pasta dish with rice “bacon.” And Miami Labor Day can be a good occasion.

Riviera Focacceria Italiana

We can’t end our list without mentioning Riviera Focacceria Italiana because sometimes you want to eat a piece of fresh and perfectly made Italian bread. And this is the place you are going to get that. All of the focaccia is made in-house, and they are always fresh. The star of the show is Focaccia di Recco, homemade dough filled with unique Italian stracchino cheese. The best part is that they import fresh cheese every week straight from Italy. And you can also add other toppings like ham, prosciutto, gorgonzola cheese, arugula, and tomato. Of course, they also have many other dishes, like fried calamari, risotto of the day, and many exciting antipasti options.

We hope that we managed to paint you a pretty picture of some of the best places to eat the food from the place where Roman emperors were born. Whichever place you go to, you will leave it satisfied and full of delicious food.
